The Heavy Highway Division constructs bridges and major highway projects. For over 16 years this division has offered expertise in pile driving, construction of bridge superstructures, structural concrete for bridge abutments and bridge piers, bridge steel or precast beam erection, bridge decking, deck concrete and the use of “weathering steel”. On bridge renovation projects our crews are experts in hydro-demolition. Fahs Heavy Highway Division performs both bid build and design build projects mainly for the New York and Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation. Many of our past projects required special attention due to ecological restrictions and conditions. These tight scheduled and complex projects with associated liquidated damages clauses are staffed with our highly trained and experienced office and field management personnel who know how to get the job done. This division is currently performing over 25 million dollars of road and bridge construction.
